Tangere Arts is a theatre and drama in education
organisation based in rural Derbyshire, which provides a
wide range of theatre performances and educational
workshops, mainly to children, young people and community
audiences within the East Midlands Region.
David Johnston, Ava Hunt, Sally Siner and Gary Lagden are
the driving force behind Tangere Arts and combine over 70
years of experience delivering high quality theatre, drama
workshops and training in an innovative and fun way. We
regularly work with 17-18,000 young people and adults a
year.
Tangere Arts works in association with various partners
including: Derby Playhouse, Nottingham Playhouse,
Manchester Royal Exchange, Unicorn Children's Theatre,
Derby City Education Authority, Derbyshire Health
Authority, Creative Partnerships and Nottingham City

grandmother came from NZ 100 years or so ago, when she
was about 13. In part this journey is about seeing where
she came from. But it's also about being with my Mum,
what we did, and other shit like that. . . I will soon
be putting a copy of Margan's (my grand mother) original
account of her childhood "wool gathering"
