Not normally quite so stuffy looking
Recent work includes:
"Home" a drama about homelessness for Shelter, produced in conjunction with Broadway Films
"Dig Your Own Grave" A feature film by Tim Cunningham produced by Bang!
"I'm No Hero" live theatre and moving image combined, with Tangere Arts
"Glamour" by Stephen Lowe: a series of filmed inserts for the Nottingham Playhouse production in conjunction with Vent Media
I have worked in many media related roles and organisations. This has included working as a video editor, director, mentor, trainer and lecturer. I have worked as a trainer in a wide range of independent organisations, universities, and settings. For example, I have run workshops in Finland and with Helsinki City College, run training sessions in a prison, and been a visiting lecturer in many universities. I've been a media worker in an Arts Centre; the course leader of a vocational training course, and I've run countless short courses. I don't want to bore you with a blow by blow list, but my point is that I have a lot of experience.
In the freelance world I have mainly worked with camera and lighting, including video and16 mm. I have experience of quite a wide range of different cameras and set-ups that you might expect to find on small independent productions.
Recently I decided I would make this website and try and build up a number of independent and portable workshops and lectures that could be easily fitted into schools, media centres, and universities. So if you are looking for a particular workshop that I have not listed here, please contact me anyway. I might well be able to help.
If you are interested in academic qualifications I have got a degree in Creative Arts, and an MA in Collaborative Practice. Perhaps I should mention here that I have been CRB checked as well.
I have other skills and interests outside the moving image. I enjoy riding my motorcycle, I play the piano and the drums (although I don't read music), and I enjoy creative writing. I recently had the great experience of acting in a film called "A Hiss On The Wind" by Owen Davies. (see picture below)
A much relished experience
